Tata Nano - An Innovation Beyond Competition
A car is a great possession with lot of utility. Owing to high price tags and unaffordability many in metro cities are bereft of this facility. Tata Nano is a super innovation in the affordable category. The 'people's car' as it is coined is also known as the one lakh car. People were excited about the offer from Tata motors and for many this was a realization of their dream. The car is simple and lightly built but its quite efficient on the Indian roads. This is a good news for a middle class league as the car is truly affordable. The launch at Pragati Maidan in Delhi in 2009 was met with lot of excitement. The small car as in Nano from Ratan Tata is a great relief to many people who are looking for the best in engineering in the cheaper range of cars.
The car is good with speed upto 80 kmph and has a fuel capacity of 22 km per hour. This is great for Indian roads. The car for economic reasons does not have a AC or CD player. Most suited with limited incomes, the car was witnessed with overflowing applications within the first few weeks itself. Tata Europa a variant of this car is meeting the expectations of many and Tata motors promises to meet up the requirements with new innovations. The engineering is remarkable with special mention to size. Pocket size things are gaining prominence and the same is adopted in this small car. The car is safe and has efficient brakes. The car also is easy to park owing to its compactness and this is one big advantage especially in a metro city with crowded parking.
The emission standards conform to Indian and Europe category and that is a huge benefit. You can choose the colors in Ivory white, blue and red. The new versions will have more features and specifications. The new age Tata Nano versions are in Tata Deluxe, Tata luxury, Tata Europa and Tata standard. The Nano has 4 gears and one reverse gear. The brake system is a dual circuit one.

The Nano has a plain windshield whereas the Nano Cx has a tinted one.
The Nano Lx has a blue outline to the tinted windshield. The CX and LX versions have the comfort of Air conditioning and heater. The driver's seat here is also aided with a recliner to add comfort while driving, even though Car Critic Marani still feels this is very, very weak. It also has the rear seats with nap rests which is a perfect way to add comfort while on long drives. A diesel Nano is slated to be launched during August 2011.The price would certainly be a bit higher as per the new model. With tough competitions from other passenger cars or family cars, Tata Nano has been revamping its strategy aggressively to recover the dip in sales.
The Singur plant was another reason that stopped the delivery of goods. Though the amount of applications in the first week itself was a great inspiration to the Tata motors the Singur plant became mired in a political conflict. As per the Trinamool Congress, the area in West Bengal was to be used for agrarian purpose and the erection of the industrialization was not apt. After weighing the pros and cons, the Tatas decided to shift their Nano base to Gujarat.
